The
Perry County Chamber of Commerce is currently looking to enter into an
agreement with an Independent Contractor to handle sales of Memberships,
Event Sponsorships, and Advertising for the Chamber.
Duties of the Contractor would include recruitment of new Chamber members, retention of existing Chamber members, sales of added benefits including advertising, and Chamber Event Sponsorship sales. The Contractor would be expected to make periodic progress reports to the Chamber as requested.
The
Contractor would need to ensure they comply with all Chamber’s
standards and procedures when performing the above duties, at all times
maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, and conduct all
business in an honest, lawful, ethical and respectful businesslike
manner.
The
Contractor will be paid in a straight commission basis on the collected
actual cash amount of the new membership sale, including added benefit
sales, renewal sale including added benefit sales, or sponsorship sale.
PLEASE NOTE: The Contractor is NOT an employee of the Chamber, and as
such no salary (base or otherwise), draw against commissions, or
advances shall be paid. Commissions paid are based on membership and
sponsorship sales from the first day of each calendar month through the
last day of the calendar month.
Commissions paid include 35% of paid sale including added Benefit sales for new Chamber members, 20% on 2nd year renewals, 25%
on Chamber event sponsorships, and 20% to 30% on publication
advertising sales, depending on reaching performance benchmarks.
The Independent Contractor must sign a contract with the Chamber and
agree to all the stipulations in the Contractor Agreement. For more
